Highlights from the Northern Meeting 2022
Gary West introduces highlights of one of the largest solo piping contests in the world.
After a three year hiatus, the Northern Meeting Piping Competition, one of the largest and most prestigious gatherings of its kind in the world, took place at the start of September at the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. Gary West brings you highlights from two of the main classes of contest there, the Gold Medal for the playing of pibroch, and the senior light music event, the Former Winners March, Strathspey and Reel. With sets from Willie McCallum, Alex Gandy, Nick Hudson, Stuart Liddell and Finlay Johnstone.
