Round of 16: England v Germany

Gary Lineker presents live coverage of the titanic clash at Wembley as England resume their rivalry with three-time European champions Germany.

Gareth Southgate’s side were undefeated in the group stage as they kept clean sheets in all three games, although they have scored just twice so far themselves. Next they take on their arch rivals, having defeated Germany during their last meeting in this tournament 21 years ago.

Germany have been inconsistent at Euro 2020, losing to France and salvaging a draw against Hungary either side of an impressive 4-2 victory over reigning champions Portugal. They will no doubt draw inspiration from their famous penalty shoot-out win at Wembley in the semi-final of Euro 1996.
