John Higgins attempts to defend his title as he takes on fellow Scot Stephen Maguire in a best-of-17-frame final. Ashleigh Crowter introduces live action from the Newport Centre.
Last year, John Higgins captured his second Welsh Open title with victory over defending champion Ali Carter. Now Higgins has the chance to defend the title as he takes on Stephen Maguire who narrowly defeated Mark Selby in a tense semi-final.
