Stephen Sackur talks to Thandi Modise, Deputy Secretary General of the ANC, about riots, unrest and rising unemployment in South Africa under his party's President Jacob Zuma.

South Africa is experiencing a winter of discontent with township riots, industrial unrest, and a rising tide of unemployment. Presiding over it is Jacob Zuma, who came to power as the ANC populist promising a new deal for South Africa's poor.

Stephen Sackur asks Thandi Modise, Deputy Secretary General of the ANC, if the President is paying the price for making promises he can't deliver.
