The tale of a mysterious mask made of silk and skin. Sheila Hodgson's adaptation of MR James's story. Stars David March.

"The object he handed me was made of black silk, beautifully worked. I put the period at late 18th century.

Oh, and one more point about the mask... across the slits which would normally have been left open for the eyes, there had been stitched something which looked like human skin!"

A cycling tour in the Cotswolds comes to sinister conclusion.
