Author Mary Kenny nominates the 19th-century French novelist, while biographer Belinda Jack offers expert advice.

But she also wrote 80 novels, 25 plays and thousands of letters, and it is this that led author Mary Kenny to nominate her life.

Biographer Belinda Jack provides the expert advice, and Francine Stock sits in the presenter's chair.
