On the programme on Tuesday 5 May 2026, we reported how latest figures show the number of UK homes at high risk of surface water flooding has risen sharply in recent years.

If your home is at risk of flooding, a Government-backed scheme called Build Back Better could provide a £10,000 additional payment to make your home resilient to flooding, when making repairs after a flood.
