Would you like to make a short film about your life? Do you have something to say, or an experience you’d like to share? A hobby or a favourite object you’d like to talk about? Video Nation was first shown on BBC TV in 1993. It is an opportunity to share your views and experiences with others, to talk directly to both local and national audiences and to add your videos to the growing online archive of everyday life. In June 2001, four local BBC stations took part in a pilot to bring Video Nation to the internet. BBC Oxford is now one of many stations now involved. Contributors are from all backgrounds and ages. Presently, the oldest is 80, the youngest 10! We’ll teach you how to use a camera and show you what ingredients you need to construct a short. You can talk about ANYTHING… we’ll help you come up with ideas if you’re stuck. You’ll record your material and send it back for editing. No video will be broadcast until you’re happy with it. This is YOUR chance to tell the world what’s important to you, learn new skills and play a part in a landmark BBC scheme. Interested? Then fill out this form and press submit. |
