Mik Kaminski was the violinist during much of ELO’s heyday. He joined the band shortly after Roy Wood left the band to form Wizzard, and when Jeff Lynne became ELO’s frontman.
They were renowned for bringing classical elements to pop music as well as their spectacular live shows including a big spaceship as part of the set! Their hits included ‘Evil Woman’, ‘Don't Bring Me Down’, ‘Mr Blue Sky’, ‘Livin' Thing’ and ‘Hold On Tight.’
Several of the band members have now gone their separate ways, and Mik now tours with ELO Part II where his songwriting abilities have come to the fore on their recent albums.
ELO Part II play the New Theatre on Saturday May the 27th.
