Manchester City have won the Women's Super League for the first time in ten years.

Arsenal drew against Brighton on Wednesday night, meaning there's now no way they can get enough points to leapfrog City at the top of the table.

City being crowned champions ends Chelsea's six year long reign, who are six points behind them in second place.

But who have been their key players this season? Read on to find out who helped them claim the title...

Khadija Shaw

There's few players in the WSL who can score goals like Jamaican national Khadija Shaw.

She's hit the back of the net 19 times in 21 games for City this season - that works out as roughly one goal every 97.8 minutes in the WSL.

She's won the WSL Golden Boot two seasons in a row, and is on track to end this one as the club's top goal scorer for the fourth time.

Vivianne Miedema

One player who can score goals like Shaw is Vivianne Miedema from the Netherlands.

She holds lots of WSL records, including overall top goal scorer, most goals scored in one season, and quickest to reach 100 goals in the league.

The pair have contributed to 65% of City's 58 goals this season, making them the league's highest scorers.

Yui Hasegawa

Another key player for City this season has been Japanese national Yui Hasegawa.

She's thought of as one of the best midfielders in the world, and captains her home country's team.

She's started for City 19 times this season, and has provided crucial support in both attack and defence.

Andree Jeglertz

While Andree Jeglertz may not be a player on the pitch, his arrival as manager has proved crucial in Man City's success this season.

He joined the team in 2025, and has aimed to encourage his team to play more creatively.

Instead of following a rigid formation that other teams can exploit, they're now playing with a lot more freedom players have said.

Whatever he's doing, it's clearly working!

Who do you think has been the best player in the WSL this season?
