Ed Sheeran is UK's most played artist of 2025

Ed Sheeran has topped the charts as the UK's most-played artist last year, coming ahead of Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa.
His songs were played on average 574 times a day across radio, television and public venues, which amounts to a song being played 24 times every hour.
This is the eighth time the singer has topped the chart in the last 11 years.
The chart has been produced by the music licensing agency PPL.

Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa were second and third most played on the list
The singer said he was really "grateful" to be named most-played artist.
He added: "A huge thanks to everyone who has played my music over the last year, and over the last 15 years. I really appreciate the continuing support."
Taylor Swift was second on the most played chart, with Dua Lipa third.
Ariana Grande came in eighth place, just ahead of Sabrina Carpenter in ninth place.

When it came to the most played song, it was Myles Smith's track "Nice To Meet You" that was crowned the winner in 2025.
