It was a strong performance from the Edinburgh side.
Centre-back Frankie Kent put Hearts 1-0 up in the 29th minute, before midfielder Cammy Devlin doubled their lead five minutes later.
In the second half, Hearts dominated again with Blair Spittal's late strike meaning the game finished 3-0.
But, as the Hearts fans were clapping their players after the final whistle, news filtered through that Celtic had snatched a late winner in their match against Motherwell, meaning that the title race wasn't over just yet..

They knew that if they lost their match, then the defending league champions would hand the title to the Edinburgh side.
Celtic didn't get off to the best start, as they went 1-0 down after Elliot Watt put Motherwell ahead after 17 minutes.

In the second half, Benjamin Nygren produced yet another vital goal for Celtic to put the visitors ahead for the first time in the game.
Motherwell managed to level the score in the 85th minute thanks to Liam Gordon, with the match at 2-2 heading into added time.
But the drama wasn't over yet.
In the ninth minute of added time, referee John Beaton pointed to the spot, awarding Celtic a hugely controversial late penalty.
