River Nith search for missing Dumfries teen continues

Moffat Mountain Rescue teams joined the search when it resumed at first light on Tuesday

Searches have been continuing at the River Nith for a Dumfries teenager last seen entering the water on Monday.

Police, the fire service, the Nith inshore lifeboat, a Royal Navy helicopter and the coastguard led the initial search for Macauley McQueen.

The 18-year-old was last seen going into the water at the boathouse at Greensands about 01:00 on Monday.

Moffat Mountain Rescue teams joined the searches as they resumed onTuesday.

When last seen, Mr McQueen, of Goldie Crescent, was wearing a white River Island T-shirt, skinny blue jeans and blue Adidas trainers.
