An artist's impression of the expanded Eastgate Shopping Centre
Plans to add an eight-screen cinema and restaurants to the biggest shopping centre in the Highlands have been approved by councillors.
Intertrust Trustees Limited sought full planning permission for its plans to extend the Eastgate Centre in Inverness.
The mall already covers a 320,000sq ft (29,750 sq m) area in the city centre.
The extended centre could add 120 new jobs to the 800 people already employed there.
The plans were approved by Highland Council's south planning applications committee.
Inverness currently has two cinema venues - Eden Court on the riverside and a multiplex Vue Cinema at Inverness Retail Park.
