Jonjo Highton, 18, was pronounced dead in St Stephen's Road on Saturday
Seven men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was killed in a "brutal" knife attack in Lancashire, police said.
Jonjo Highton, 18, from Preston, died on St Stephen's Road in the city on Saturday night.
A post-mortem examination found he suffered a wound to the neck caused by a blade.
Lancashire Police said the men in custody were all from Preston, aged between 19 and 27.
Det Supt Eddie Thistlethwaite said: "I am confident that we will identify all of those responsible for the brutal murder of Jonjo Highton."
He said he believed the attackers may have used several vehicles and appealed for anyone who may have seen cars in the area south of Moor Park around St Stephen's Road to contact police.
He said: "I am specifically interested in locating a blue Vauxhall Vectra, registration KG04 EJU and a people carrier possibly a silver or grey Renault Megane Scenic that was seen in company with the vehicle.
"Have you been innocently sold this car or asked to scrap it since Saturday? Do you know who has used this car within the last few weeks?"
