A body pulled from the sea off Kent has been identified as that of a 17-year-old woman from Ramsgate.

The remains of Becky Anne Morgan were recovered from the water at Broadstairs on 07:45 BST on Sunday, police said.

They had been called nearly three hours earlier to reports of someone in the sea at the Port of Ramsgate about three miles away.

A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail until 24 June.

Police have appealed for witnesses who were in the Harbour Parade or Ramsgate Sands area early on Sunday.

They also want to speak to people who might have seen Becky on Saturday evening or night.
