BBC Bristol and Somerset radio presenter Peter Rowell has been charged with indecent assault.
The 52-year-old faces four counts dating back to the early 1990s, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
Mr Rowell, from Wickwar, was charged in the early hours of Friday and remanded in custody. He is due to appear before Bristol Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
He has presented the Afternoon Show on BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset since last May.
