Man dies after single-vehicle collision involving motorbike
PSNIA 39-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle collision involving a motorbike in County Fermanagh on Sunday morning.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said it received a report at about 06:00 BST of a collision at the Marble Arch Road at Florencecourt.
Emergency services attended and Michael Kenna from Belturbet in County Cavan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The PSNI are asking for anyone with information to contact them.
The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
Mark Ovens, a UUP councillor for Erne West, said this was "another tragic reminder" of the dangers that exist on rural roads.
"This is devastating news for the family and loved ones of the person who has sadly lost their life following this collision," he said.
"It is especially heartbreaking that this tragedy has happened over a bank holiday weekend, a time when families should be together, not facing unimaginable loss."
Ovens also paid tribute to the emergency services who attended the scene.
"I would urge anyone travelling over the remainder of the weekend to take extra care on the roads," he said.
"Far too many families across Northern Ireland have already had their lives changed forever by road traffic collisions this year."
