Oil firm wants to replace 'outdated' tanks
GoogleA long-established Calderdale firm, whose oil products are used in motorsports, is seeking permission to replace "outdated" storage tanks.
Established in Brighouse in 1887, Millers Oils specialises in blending and lubricants.
It supplies products for vintage vehicles, industrial and commercial vehicles, cars and plant machinery.
Bosses now want to remove three storage tanks at the Hillside Oil Works site on Rastrick Common and install five new ones.
The application to Calderdale Council was made by agents JMH Design, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS).
The application said the new tanks would improve the company's facilities while having no detrimental impact on any surrounding properties.
"The proposed new installation has been designed to fit the expanding requirements of Millers Oils," it said.
"By replacing outdated oil storage tanks its scale has been designed relative to the requirement."
People can comment on the application via Calderdale Council's website.
