Driver held after motorcyclist injured in M62 crash

A driver has been arrested after a motorcyclist was left with serious injuries following a collision on the M62 motorway, police said.

The crash happened near junction 22 eastbound at Rishworth Moor at about 14:05 BST on Friday, according to West Yorkshire Police.

It involved a Mercedes Sprinter van towing a trailer and a KTM Duke motorcycle, with the van's driver stopping at the scene and later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The motorcyclist remains in hospital, with the force urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
