Attending Electric Proms events
BBC Radio 2 Electric Proms concerts will all be at the iconic Roundhouse, North London. The former railway turntable shed made a name for itself in the 1960s and 70s hosting seminal gigs by Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie and The Clash. In recent years it has played host to distinctive music concerts, awards and artistic events, as well as being home to the BBC Electric Proms.
The venue is easily accessible by Tube, Bus, Train and Taxi. Whilst the Roundhouse is outside of the congestion charge zone, there is no parking at the venue and it can be difficult to find spaces nearby.
The Roundhouse was refurbished in 2006, so as you would expect is designed to accommodate many types of access needs. For example there are lifts, ramps and disabled toilets in useful positions around the venue. If you use a hearing aid there is also an infra-red assisted system.
