BBC Sport to celebrate 45 editions of the London Marathon with an extended partnership to 2030
This partnership, spanning over five decades, is one of the longest-standing broadcast agreements in British sport

BBC Sport and London Marathon Events have agreed a new contract extending their long-standing partnership to 2030, a deal that will include live coverage of the 50th London Marathon.
The London Marathon remains one of the most iconic events in the UK sporting calendar, featuring world class and recording breaking races and tens of thousands of participants whose stories inspire the nation as they raise millions of pounds for charity.
This partnership, spanning over five decades, is one of the longest-standing broadcast agreements in British sport. Over the years, the London Marathon has seen more than 1.3 million finishers and a staggering total of more than £1.3 billion raised for charity.
BBC Sport’s coverage continues to be available across all BBC platforms including live network TV, iPlayer, BBC Sounds, 5 Live and BBC Sport website/social platforms.

This year’s London Marathon kicks off on Sunday 27 April, with coverage on BBC One and iPlayer from 8.30am. Radio 5 Live will preview the event on Thursday from 7.30pm and catch BBC Radio London’s extensive coverage throughout the weekend.
BBC Sport will also show coverage of other London Marathon Events including The Big Half, the Vitality London 10,000 and the Vitality Westminster Mile, on digital platforms.
