Red Nose DayYou are in: Jersey > Red Nose Day > Quennevais go crazy for RND ![]() Quennevais go crazy for RNDLes Quennevais School are hoping to top their Red Nose Day fundraising record of £6000 this year. In 2007 Les Quennevais School raised a staggering £6000 for Comic Relief, making them one of the biggest fundraising schools in the UK. They’re hoping to replicate that success this year as they get set to go crazy for Comic Relief. Staff and students alike will be getting into the spirit of the day as “plans are well underway for madness and mayhem to begin again.” On the day all staff and students will pay for the privilege to come to school in fancy dress. That means 825 assorted characters will attend lessons in the morning before a staff musical extravaganza begins at lunchtime. This year teachers will perform as Abba, Elvis and in a Grease medley. The finale of which will be Headteacher John thorp and Deputy Head Sarah Hague performing Summer Loving. In the afternoon students will attend their own Talent Shows and then watch the gunging of the teachers whose collection buckets have raised the most money throughout the week. The school hope that what is always a great fun community day in the Les Quennevais School calendar “should be as good as ever and hopefully raise more than ever before.” The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites What are you doing? What are your, your company or your school doing for Comic Relief 2009?
