The Big Picture

This is the chance for you to get creative in the search for images that sum up the concept of Englishness.

We want you to send us photos that break away from the stereotypical view of England and Englishness - the village green, the black and white thatched cottage, people Morris dancing etc.

There's so much more to the concept of Englishness that your photo could be of people queuing in the rain, drinkers in your local, or someone washing their car.

Get your friends and family involved and see what fresh ideas they can come up with.

Be creative and let your imagination run riot - all we need is your picture and your explaination of what this sums up Englishness for you.

To submit your photos, use the link below to The Big Picture site, then upload the photo following the easy instructions (don't forget to tag the photo 'Made in England'), jot down a short description of what the scene means to you... and the picture will then be added to the gallery on the our Big Picture website.

What's more, some (though not all) of the photos will be shown on BBC Midlands Today on St. George's Day.
