Weak13 is the stage name of Nick Townsend - a British songwriter who has slowly become one of the biggest names in underground music.

Nearly all of Nick Townsend's music heroes had either died, overdosed, been murdered or ceased to exist by this date - and something had to be done.

The answer was form a band (which he did thirteen weeks before the millennium) called Weak13 that would continue to play music highly inspired by some of the greatest bands, lyricists and riff writers on the planet, but to only exist for 13 years.

To date there has been 27 collaborations between Nick and other musicians including: Melo DJ, Neutron Tears, Rob Llyod (Omri Opera), Luke Johnson (Amen), Syco (Kill Johnny Rockstar), Cyical (Desi Underground), Jim Taylor (Hattori Hanzo), John Keen (Lighthouse Family), Morph (Otis Coyote).

By 2012AD, the band want to represent a picture of 20th century music and act as a template to inspire the 21st century.

"Every WEAK13 song is unique and designed to sound like no other.

"Originality is my main focus and I know my music will appeal to fans of the following artists: Cypress Hill, Korn, Prong, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Machine Head, Soundgarden, Eminem, Moby, Funeral For A Friend, Limp Bizkit, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, Mud Honey, Blur, Onyx, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Coldplay, Marilyn Manson, Led Zeppelin, King Rich, Amen, Eric Clapton, Oak, Motor Head, Love Hate.

"I love these artists - I grew up with their music and it had an effect on me.

"Some people call me a musician - I call myself an artist; I paint pictures with music. I call the finished piece Weak13."

As well as playing music, Nick has released several underground magazines in the UK and parts of Europe such as 'BAN(ne)D magazine', 'Get Funked', 'P.M.T. Magazine' and currently 'Nick The Mag'. Each magazine has become bigger and bigger and has increased in readership and 'Nick The Mag' currently has around 15,000 readers.
