John Craven and Charlotte Smith are in the Peak District National Park, famed for its breathtaking landscapes and wildlife. But despite its wild and rugged appearance, there’s a huge amount of work needed to protect it. John spends the day as a ranger and meets volunteers who have devoted years to caring for this landscape. Charlotte jumps on a bike to explore an accessible cycling route and heads out across the moors with a scientist monitoring one of the parks most elusive residents – the mountain hare. Adam Henson is also in the Peaks to see what happens when farmers stop going it alone and start working together.
