Back in 2003, while still riding the success of TV sitcom Malcolm In The Middle, Frankie Muniz scored an unexpected hit as pint-sized super-spy Agent Cody Banks. Unfortunately the sequel "swaps Sean Connery suavity for Roger Moore stupidity". Following its dismal performance at the box office, Muniz will be hard pressed to save his film career, let alone the world.

Banks' Balance

Muniz remains impossibly smug in the bog standard 'making of' featurette, asserting "Nobody can really dislike Cody Banks", before going on to blab about the two months of martial arts training he underwent prior to shooting. Meanwhile, sidekick Anthony Anderson offers such pearls as, "The fun thing about playing Derek is that it's fun." And with a straight face, director Kevin Allen assures us that ACB2 boasts "much, much more comedy" than its predecessor. Perhaps he's referring to the hilarious box office figures?

Banks' Overdraft

Also included are three deleted scenes and three extended scenes, all of which are stupendously dull. Shake your head in wonder as little Muniz tries desperately to create comic business out of brushing his teeth, and marvel at the ability of ex-S Clubber Hannah Spearritt to make like a plank. It appears the onetime pop princess also has trouble speaking and sitting at the same time, as evidenced by the tragically unfunny outtakes reel.

Given that the film is unspeakably bad, it's no wonder there isn't an audio commentary offered here. As far as intelligence gathering goes, this package is as flimsy as a dossier... well, let's just leave it at that.
