Good Guys Wear Black DVD (1977)

Poor old Chuck Norris is always a favourite target for critical mauling. But while the seven-times world karate champion doesn't make great movies, they're often good cheesy fun. "Good Guys Wear Black" plays like a slice of naff 70s US TV and makes for an unremarkable DVD release.

Chuck is a retired commando who learns that his old buddies are being assassinated. His investigations lead him through the murky depths of the CIA and US State Department. Faced with atrocious decor and handlebar-moustachioed-villains everywhere he turns, he is forced to resort to his own brand of kung fu diplomacy.

The low budget shenanigans don't look brilliant on DVD but the picture is no worse than any late-night outings for this film on ITV.

Sound quality is clear and in mono but you wouldn't want the dull music score filling out to other speakers anyway.

Extras are limited to scene selection but at a budget price, there's not much to complain about.
