Pupils from St Pius X School in Chelmsford spent a morning bulb planting on our Springwatch garden.  Since opening its doors in Nov 2006 hundreds of birds and insects made their homes on the reserve.  Volunteers helped to transform a patch of land Chelmsford into a haven for wildlife and people. There are only a few ancient landscapes left in London and the RSPB reserve is one of them.  Take a look at our picture gallery of one of the biggest visitor attractions in Essex.
