This year the title for RED NOSE DAY is THE BIG ONE, with Big CHALLENGES on the agenda. BBC Essex presenters Tom Warmington and Ray Clark found themselves in the wrestling ring.
BBC Essex listeners have been doing their bit for RED NOSE DAY. Of the money raised 60% of the cash helps to give people living in the grinding poverty of Africa a better chance of life. Forty percent helps disadvantaged people and communities in this country turn their life around.
To raise money BBC Essex have set presenters Big Challenges. Drivetime presenter Ray Clark was set the task of becoming a referee and then hosting a match between BBC Essex's Tom Warmington and Q.T McFluff at the Dropkixx Wrestling Academy in Purfleet.
Bare in mind Tom is around 10 stone and Q.T is 29 stone the odds were WEIGHED against Tom. However Ray assured the competitors of a fair fight after totally dismissing his training session with wrestling legend John Ritchie!
