Red Nose Day 2007

Three people with a crate
See how they got on - pledge to RND

High hopes for Red Nose Day

This year the title for RED NOSE DAY is THE BIG ONE, with Big CHALLENGES on the agenda. BBC Essex presenters Tom Warmington, Steve Scruton and Ian Wyatt are aiming high.

Red Nose Day is a UK-wide fundraising event organised by Comic Relief every two years. This is the 11th Red Nose Day and its THE BIG ONE !

Here at BBC Essex we've gone BIG with BIG CHALLENGES for a number of our presenters, and yep that means they have been put to the test.

Tom Warmington, Ian Wyatt and Steve Scruton took on challenge three. This involved crate stacking to a great height, being tied to a safety harness and wearing a hard hat at Stubbers Activity Centre in Upminster.

Bearing in mind none of them like heights it was a BIG CHALLENGE and one that tested their balancing skills and their trust in each other.

So if you want to see how they got on... make a pledge for Red Nose Day.

You'll be able to hear how they got on if you listen to the Steve Scruton's programme on BBC Essex, on Friday, 16, March.

The BBC Essex HELPLINE is open to take your donation pledges for Red Nose Day... just call 01245 348 348.
