Brady's on Route 366

Adventures on Route 366

Brady Haran has completed a quest to visit 366 places in the East Midlands - one for each day of the (leap) year in 2008.

Our video journalist travelled far and wide filming reports for East Midlands Today, stories for BBC local radio and articles for our websites.

Before starting, Brady said: "I've been reporting in the East Midlands for five years now and seen quite a few places.

"But a quick scan of the map shows there are countless villages and towns I've never heard of.

"I'm going to start by simply visiting places I just like the sound of. But hopefully people will get in touch with their own suggestions and invitations.

"Along the way I want people to tell me about their villages and towns."

Brady's reports appeared regularly on East Midlands Today, but there were extra videos, stories and pictures available here on the EMT website.

Brady's series was called Route 366 because of his goal to visit one place for each day of 2008 (a leap year).

But the road trip idea also conjured up images of the famous Route 66 which spans much of the United States.
