Cucumber sandwich?

Just what does it mean to be English?

BBC Coventry and Warwickshire's Annie Othen presents a sidelong look at all things English to celebrate St George's Day on Wednesday, 23 April.

Queues and cucumber sandwiches- what's important to you about the country in which we live?

BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Annie Othen will be taking a sidelong look at all things English for St George's Day on Wednesday, 23 April.

From 10am - 1pm, Annie's Mid Morning show explores Englishness through a range of activities- from cucumber sandwich making races to Coventry's most orderly queue!

There'll be Awfully English Entertainment, fish 'n' chip tastings, and a Best Pud award - Oh - and a nice cup of tea, of course.

You're cordially invited to join in on St George's Day, Wednesday, 23 April from 10am - 1pm at the BBC Open Centre, Priory Place Coventry.

And celebrate this particular corner of England with your photos of the very best of Coventry and Warwickshire- text them to 62000 (with 'Coventry' as the subject), email them to coventry@bbc.co.uk -or just bring them with you on the day. They will then be added to our This is Coventry and Warwickshire gallery.

Apple and Blackberry crumble, treacle tart or good old bread and butter pudding? Tell Annie about your favourite English pud. Is there another British dish that is your favourite? Steak and Kidney Pie? Toad in the Hole? Why are these traditional food so special? Share your food memories with us...

I love blackberry and apple crumble! I LOVE IT!!! Mainly because a) if you make it at the right time of year it's absolutely FREE! and b) I have a secret ingredient which makes it extra special and c) it reminds me of my ma in faraway Devon. Sniff!
