The subject of this article complained that it had incorrectly reported that he had been convicted of perjury, whereas his conviction was for a lesser offence, and did not regard the subsequent correction of the article as sufficient remedy.  The ECU considered the complaint in the light of the BBC’s editorial standards of accuracy.
