BBC Radio 1 are pleased to announce their Autumn Commissioning Round for the following shows based in Salford:
Bundle: Radio 1 Early Breakfast and Radio 1 Weekend Breakfast
Please note:
- Suppliers should submit a 1000 Word (500 words per show) Proposal – these will then be short-listed.
- If submitting, please include the budget information.
- The closing date for submission is: midday on Tuesday 15th September.
- We expect the pitching for this title to take place w/c 12th October 2026.
- With each completed proposal we request some extra information on how you would reflect diversity and inclusion, when replying to this brief

Eras Podcast opportunity
We have published a commissioning brief for the podcast series Eras, which tells the stories of some of the most iconic artists in modern music by exploring the moments that defined them.
This opportunity is for two series, each consisting of four 30-minute audio episodes and one visualised episode.
Deadline for short proposals: Tuesday 21 July 2026 at noon.
