Make a simple watermelon fan

You will need
  • Paper plate
  • Green, red and black paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Lollypop stick
  • Glue

Follow these easy steps

Start by gathering your materials and laying newspaper down to protect your surfaces. Make sure to wear an apron or clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

  1. Take your paper plate and lay it upside down on your surface.

  2. Use green paint to paint around the outside of your paper plate and let it dry.

  3. Use red paint to paint a circle in the middle of the plate, leaving a white gap between the red and green. Leave this to dry.

  4. Dip your little finger in black paint and make little dots on the paper to create watermelon seeds. Leave this to dry.

  5. Fold the paper plate in half to make a semicircle. Put glue on the outside edge of your plate. Before you fold the plate to make your semicircle, add a lollipop stick to the middle. One your lollipop stick is in place, fold your plate down, sticking it firmly with glue.

  6. Now you have a perfect watermelon fan.
