Who is Andy Murray?
Andy Murray is one of Britain's most successful tennis players. Born in Scotland, Andy worked hard from a young age and became famous for his powerful shots, determination and never-give-up attitude. He won the Wimbledon Championships twice, making history as the first British man in 77 years to win the famous Wimbledon tennis Singles title in 2013, before winning again in 2016. His wins don't stop there though, (WHAT!), Andy Murray has also won Olympic gold medals AND reached the world number one ranking.
Now, Sir Andy Murray is back at Wimbledon 2026 in a new role helping the next generation of stars, including rising British player Jack Draper.

The current Wimbledon singles champions are Jannik Sinner (men’s) and Iga Świątek (women’s), both winning the tournament in 2025.
