Lady Grace Cavendish

Meet Lady Grace. Curious, smart and great at uncovering secrets, Grace is always ready for an adventure, wherever the clues may take her. Unimpressed by royal pretentiousness, Grace values loyalty above all, especially as an orphan with little family of her own. She throws herself into every challenge with energy and heart, which can sometimes land her in trouble! She may be impulsive and make mistakes, but with grit, bravery and the support of her friends, Lady Grace is always on the case.

Ellie Bunting

Say hello to Ellie Bunting, Lady Grace's closest friend. Ellie is a hardworking servant at court, often found tidying rooms or cooking in the palace kitchen. Super kind and fiercely loyal, Ellie worries that Grace’s spying puts her in danger and doesn't like being lied to. Often guided by “funny feelings”, Ellie’s superstition sometimes holds her back, but when it counts, she always finds the courage to face her fears and stand by her best friend.

Masou Fallaize

Alongside Ellie, Masou is one of Grace's closest pals. He is the royal court's star performer and loves to put on plays to entertain the Queen, with dreams of acting on the world's biggest stages. Colourful, confident and charismatic, Masou is a natural entertainer. His self-belief occasionally tips into overconfidence, but luckily Grace and Ellie are always there to keep his ego in check.

Queen Elizabeth I

All hail the Queen! Strong, independent and owning her feminine power, Queen Elizabeth rules with steadiness and status. Though she faces criticism from inside and out of court, she fights for her place on the throne and wants to build her confidence in trusting her gut. Behind the sparkle is a woman still shaped by childhood trauma, a bond she shares uniquely with her goddaughter, Lady Grace. Their relationship is built on trust, friendship and the promise of protection.

Lord Osborne

Mysterious and charming, Lord Osborne is the Queen's assistant spy master who works alongside Lord Walsingham. He is new to the court, but there is more to him than meets the eye. He finds Grace just as mysterious as she finds him, and wants to help her in her duties protecting the Queen.

Lady Sarah Bartelmy

Tensions run high between Sarah and Lady Grace, her fellow lady in waiting. Sarah loves to let everyone know she's got the latest fashion, romances and court gossip to spread. While Grace is busy solving mysteries and protecting Queen Elizabeth I, Sarah is dreaming of love and keeping an eye out to uncover the latest scandal. A skilled social observer, she knows far more than she lets on, making her both a valuable ally and a potential challenge for Grace.
