Sacré bleu (it’s French for “OMG”). So much talent went home tonight, it’s unbelievable.

The semi-final was a non-stop skills-fest - all eight artists blew the roof off. But, we knew that eight had to become four and with the public 100% in charge of the decisions, it was goodnight for Max Milner, Becky Hill, Ruth Brown and Jaz Ellington. Four absolutely incredible voices; four unbelievably awesome people. If it’s the last we’ve heard of any of them, we’ll eat will.i.am’s torch.

And then there were four! Our fantastic final four… Bo Bruce, Vince Kidd, Leanne Mitchell and Tyler James. Coming to a Voice UK final near you next Saturday. AAAAAAAAAARGH!

Oh my days, this isn’t getting any easier. I hope you’re feeling huggy cos I’ve got my sniffles on.

After a night of vocal fireworks from Team Jessie and Team Danny, only two artists could go through from the public vote. Vince and Bo were they. Jessie and Danny could only save one more artist each: Becky and Max got the lifelines.

So it’s goodnight for Toni, Cassius, David and Aleks. So much talent in that foursome, it’s quite literally redonkulouso. We had emotional times in The V Room afterwards; it’s lucky I’m good at cuddles.

If it’s the last we’ve heard of these four, I’ll eat will.i.am’s studded jacket.

Tonight (7.25pm BBC One) things are going to get just a tad emotional as we lose four more of our artists before next week's semi-final - we're welling up at the thought of it *wipes away a tear*. Everyone was so good last night so it's just too close to call...

Amongst all the tears and tough decisions will be a show-stopping performance from the one and only Paloma Faith AND Team Will and Team Tom will be setting off vocal explosions as they each duet together. What's that? You want an exclusive preview? Oh go on then - Sunday isn't Sunday without it...

Oh man, four (well, five) incredible artists going home in one night. That was tough. sad.i.am.

Following an absolutely barnstorming, bang-bang, three-times-dope night of performances, it was judgement time again for Team Will and Team Tom and tonight it was double-double departure.

After Ruth and Jaz were saved by your public votes, it was down to tweet.i.am and The Silver Bear to save one more artist each.

As you’d expect, these decisions were more rock solid than my buns*. But when push came to shove, it was Leanne and Tyler that got saved and it was goodnight for Frances, Leanne, Matt and Sueleen and will.i.(ad)am.

Give it up for all four artists. They’re incredible and we’ll miss them loads.

Right, time for East 17 and a cuddle.

After incredible performances from #TeamJessie and #TeamDanny, it was Ruth-Ann and Hannah that found themselves in their bottom-twos, alongside Toni Warne and Max Milner.

It was impossible decision time for Jess and Danny but after reminding all four artists that this show is only the beginning; it was goodnight for Hannah and Ruth.

Show them both some love, people. They’re amazing artists and Voice fam for life.

Following a bunch of eye-poppingly awesome performances by Team Tom and Team Will, Sam and Sophie found themselves in their bottom-twos, alongside Matt and Sueleen and Joelle Moses.

As you’d expect, Sir Tom and Will found it majorly difficult to decide who to save but following lots of chin-scratching, soul-searching and help from the other coaches – it was goodnight for Sam and Soph.

People, please show some love for both these incredible artists. They’re the bees’ knees and we’re gonna miss them big time.

So, as you know, the results show airs tonight and for the first time on The Voice UK, you’ll have a say on who stays and who goes home. After the mind-blowing performances last night, it’s going to be especially hard to say goodbye to two artists. Remind yourselves of just how good they were and watch all the performances again.

But it’s not going to be all tense lighting and dramatic sound effects, we have got lots of cool things in store to keep spirits up during the results show.

Chart-storming songbird Lana Del Rey will be performing live, the final 10 artists in Team Jessie and Danny are treating us to a special group performance and Reggie will be shaking his booty as a backing dancer throughout the show.

Okay so the Reggie thing was a lie, but the group performance is going to be so good we have to show you a cheeky little snippet before we explode. Whet your appetite and watch a preview of Team Danny and Jessie performing together.
