Sir Neville Marriner on Sir Colin Davis - 15 April

Much of today's output on Radio 3 has been devoted to Sir Colin Davis, who has died, aged 85. On In Tune, Sean Rafferty spoke to his friend and contemporary Sir Neville Marriner. Click play to listen to their conversation and listen to the programme for more memories and tributes, from Kiri Te Kanawa, Robin Ticciati and Nikolaj Znaider.

This morning we published a gallery of pictures of Sir Colin from the BBC archives. They show the conductor at work with artists like Rostropovich and Tippett and, of course, with his beloved London Symphony Orchestra.

As you'd expect, the running order for this morning's Breakfast was rearranged to accommodate many of the works Sir Colin loved and made his own - from Mozart, Berlioz, Sibelius and others. Listen to the programme online for seven days.

Sir Colin Davis was so important - to the music of Britain and the world and, of course, to Radio 3 itself - that you're sure to hear more of his work in the coming days online.
