Extra bits of Brits...
Good morning lovely people. We have all recovered from a flipping excellent night at The 2012 Brit Awards. Despite the obvious Adele cutting off controversy, it was a great night. Some worthy winners, some cringey acceptance speeches, some impressive performances too and all held together by James Corden. Ps. Sorry James for us load of idiots getting in your shot:
Couldn't believe my luck sat there seeing Coldplay too. Little did I know when I was an emotionally weak 14 year old boy listening to Parachutes worrying about girls and other unimportant teenage things that fast forward to 2012, I'd be saying hello to him moments before he goes on stage to the nation. I am a fanboy. It is embarrassing and I'm not ashamed to say it. I'm a lucky boy. Actually...not much has changed since I was 14. Still listen to that album and still worry about girls. I'm just older, with a job, my own place and slightly better hair. Slightly. I'm still an emotionally weak softy.
I thought Florence was brilliant too:
The next day at work was fun. Not for this guy though:
This is Dexter. He works at Radio 1 and he was in charge of making sure the competition winners had a good time...They had a really good time. Look at the state of him. This was taken at 4:30pm yesterday.
Leicester Comedy Festival...
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I went to the Leicester Comedy Festival on Saturday night. I had a couple of mates doing a show up there. Pat Cahill and John Kearns - I am biased - but they are really good. It's a great festival and hosts big name comedians as well as new and unknown acts. People like Greg Davies, Josh Widdecombe, Russell Kane and Rhod Gilbert are all taking part at some point over the next couple of weeks. It's a goodun.
Leicester was cold though and I booked an awful hotel but on the plus side, I did find this guy in my room:
There's some more #iseefaces here
Also this weekend, we cooked fajitas at 4am, missed 3 trains, selcected Mis-teeq's 'All I Want' on a pub jukebox (massive tune actually), had a snowball fight with my mum and almost rolled up a dog turd and threw it at her by accident.
I see faces...
I know that it isn't just me who does this. In fact, I know there are a few blogs that already cover this but it is genuinely one of my favourite things. This might be because I'm sad but its mainly because its funny.
I see faces. This is when you see a face in something. Like this:
And this:
There are a lot of faces to be found all over the place - in particular in bathrooms. Taps make wonderful faces too for example. This however, is NOT allowed. This is a staged face. Still funny though:
