Amy and her mum Cheryl gave us a call earlier this week to let everyone know they were on the way to Glastonbury for the first time. Her mum has hired a campervan for the weekend and they've called it 'Curtis'.

Amy is very excited, as is her mum. Here they are:

Hmmm...I am very excited about going to Glastonbury tonight as I'm doing some of the BBC Three coverage with Fearne, Reggie and Gemma from 1Xtra. However, looking at the state of the place, it is taking a little bit of the excitement away. I'm sure it'll be fine. Little bit of trenchfoot never hurt anyone.

Do you think he's seen the dog?

I was trying to be all cultured and grown-up last night by watching Newsnight. However, instead of listening to what David Cameron was saying, I noticed a limp dog on the carpet. Now, I'm sure the obvious reason is that it's someones guide dog but why is it playing dead? Shouldn't it be more alert?

BOD ON THE BLOG

Laura from the show is obsessed with Bod who is a new member of staff. We were looking at the crowds for Cameron Diaz the other day and a builder working opposite Radio 1 liked the look of Bod. He texted the show saying 'Oi Greg wheeeeey...who was the blonde?'. Well, this is her.

Producer keeps Laura keeps shouting compliments at her in the office.

Please welcome her along to Radio 1...

Someone moved my car...

I woke up yesterday morning, opened the blinds and a market had taken over my road. As far as I could see, dress stalls, jewellery, handbags..You know the sort of thing. It was an attempt to make London seem more like a village, which I didn't mind except that the road was closed all day.

I parked my car outside my flat on Friday afternoon. I didn't use it all weekend until I needed to get to cricket yesterday afternoon. I went outside to where I parked my car, looked around and it had been replaced by a fruit and veg stall.

GONE. I asked the owner of the stall. 'No idea mate'.

My pride and joy. Disposed of in favour of punnets of strawberries and bananas.

I panicked and just wondered around bemused for a few minutes not really sure what was going on.

I eventually found it 5 roads away with this friendly sign on it:

Fair enough I suppose as there were some 'Don't park here on Sunday' signs but would have been nice for a little 'we've lifted your car away' voicemail or something? Just a text would have done: 'ello, we mved ur car. cheers'.

Life's Too Short...

I was lucky enough to get an invite down to the set of the new Gervais/Merchant sitcom 'Life's Too Short' yesterday. You know that I'm a huge fan of these chaps and still regularly re-watch The Office over and over again so I jumped at the chance. I was snooping round the set - a nerdy fan boy.

The new show will be aired around October time and stars the brilliant Warwick Davis who was on my show a few months back.

All we know so far is that a few famous faces from The Office and Extras will be involved along with some other celebrities. It's being shot like a fake documentary much like The Office was and promises to be pretty special. I saw a couple of scenes being rehearsed and loved it.

Here's some photographs from a camera:

Very Bad Trip 2...

Producer Sarah saw this gem on her recent honeymoon en France (that means in France). I love this. It's clearly a poster for a film we know as 'The Hangover 2'. This is of course because the French either don't get hangovers or haven't invented a word for them. Maybe the latter.

Do you have any more examples?

Festivals, holidays, cricket season and...WIMBLEDON.

It starts next Monday and it is just my favourite two weeks of the year. Andy Murray has done pretty well in preparation for it winning the 'Queen's Club' tournament...and doing some amazing trick shots as well. Even if you don't like tennis, you'll love this:

Wimbledon starts on the BBC next Monday. Very good times.

Ludovico Einaudi...

Good morning lovely people. Let's get this story straight then.

When I was studying for my exams a few years ago at University, there was a song that I heard and had to download INSTANTLY.

It's a track called 'I Giorni' by a composer called Ludovico Einaudi and is absolutely brilliant. It's a classical track, just piano - but it is pretty lovely.

Here's a completely unrelated picture of a lady at the piano which I found in the BBC photo archive.

On the 'versus' the other night with Zane Lowe, I played this track as my 'study break' record. It got an enormous reaction which led to another play the next day on my show, and then another one on Monday too.

After these plays, people really loved it and it suddenly shot into a certain famous online download site. It's currently sitting at number 23 on there! It is also one of the most searched songs online too this week.

I know it's a pretty unoriginal idea for a wacky dj to try and get a song into the charts but this is a really special one. It's not a novelty record, it's just one that is really special to me and, it seems really special to a lot of people who have suddenly got into it.

Fingers crossed for Sunday - it might well appear in the Official Chart!
