Scott, Beccy and I tried to steal a big Brit award after the show the other night. It went wrong.

What a lovely night. My job was to interview a few of the arrivals on the red carpet and Scott gave me awkward questions to ask them. On the whole, a lot of fun - even the bit where I asked Leona if she'd ever licked a badger.

I have been told off by Lisa who is a chief in the office at Radio 1. She has told me to clean up my desk. This desk reflects my mind and it is against my nature to keep things tidy.

I have made a deal with her though. If 50 people comment below with the phrase:

"GREG, YOU'RE A MESS. SORT YOUR DESK AND LIFE OUT"

I will tidy my desk properly - with polish.

I spent yesterday evening at Metropolis Studios in South West London. Ellie Goulding was doing a very special recording session and I was lucky enough to sneak along to it. Ellie has just won a Brit award and is one of my favourite new acts. I was made aware of her by the wonderful Huw Stephens a few months ago.

Here she is in action. I tried not to put her off by creeping around in the upstairs gallery. But failed. I'm an oaf.

The session last night was extra special as Ellie was recording it straight on to old fashioned vinyl. I went in to the recording studio to have a nose around:

It was a brilliant evening, had a little chat with her afterwards and she is totally lovely and humble about all the hype that is surrounding her at the moment. Just excited, as you would be! 

Every week I have a chat to him about his love life and a load of other guff too. He has just got a new job which he started yesterday at The Houses of Parliament (I know, amazing).

If you've been following the show for the last couple of months, you'll know all about John and Ruth's big day this Thursday. John rang up my show a little while ago and asked if I would dj at his wedding - I think he was expecting me to say no. I called his bluff and said I would love to.

I'll be travelling to the venue after my show tomorrow...Very much looking forward to it!
