My favourite show in the world is The Apprentice and I'm so glad it's back for another series. It started last Wednesday - have a look at the mini-site here.

Anyway, I was on the Tube going home yesterday and I saw these two people. Surely it's Nick and Margeret from the show? I didn't think Alan's closest aides would be using public transport...

(For obvious reasons, their faces have been doctored a bit, but you get the idea)

Here's the real them:

David Garrido in Australia...

The BBC have got the F1 coverage this year and it was fantastic. (of course I have to say that, but it's also true). The boat has very much been pushed out. Have a look at the BBC F1 mini-site.

I had David Garrido live from Melbourne on the show today giving his take on the weekend's Grand Prix action. Have a listen again here. He was on just after 6. I asked him to send me a photo of what he could see from where he was broadcasting from. Look at some of his web work from the last couple of weeks here.

Instead, he sent in a picture of himself:

Looking fly though...And emulating his idol Alanis Morisette. (One hand in his pocket. Ask your parents)

This is my new favourite thing.

You know there are these special "Google cars" going round the country at the moment taking photos of all the streets in Britain - see here.

Well, there's a great website that has found loads of images that maybe shouldn't have made it on to the site:

Have a look at the best of the links here.

Here's a few of my favourites:

Mary Poppins spotted in Wales.

If you see one of these cars near you - make sure you're doing something stupid and that you stare right into the camera on top.

Because all teenagers have spots and get up to no good, obviously...

I got annoyed the other day that people were jetting off on holidays so I've decided to book some cheap tickets on Le Shuttle and go to France for the day!

Here's a handy link to a photo diary from the day, this is my Twitter and below is a quick report from the beach in Le Touquet. As you'll be able to tell it was VERY cold and VERY windy.

The baby got back...

I'm on the train to good old Bishop's Stortford for the weekend for Mother's Day and other duties. Going to have a bit of a lads night too (wheeeeey, beer, chips, fights, swearing etc). So happy that Spring and therefore the Summer is nearly here too.

What a busy week on the show...doing Scott's show on Monday really threw me out all week, then my cage fighting experience on Tuesday got me beaten up quite badly. I haven't been able to laugh without every muscle in my upper body hurting in the last few days. And working on a show that is so hilarious makes things a lot worse I can tell ya. Thanks for having a listen this week (if you did), it's been a fun one.

Great news about the Big Weekend being in Swindon, but sad news that Colin Murray is leaving. He's a brilliant presenter and someone I look up to a lot. However he will be amazing on 5Live. Thanks for reading all this guff, I hope you still enjoy reading the ramblings of a mad man every now and then. If you want more of this nonsense, then have a look at my Twitter. Oh, and in other news, I think I've found myself a little village cricket team to play for on Sundays. Good times. I've missed playing in the last couple of years. To be honest, I've missed the cream teas.

P.S. I've just got in and found that my room has been taken over by my niece's cot for when she comes to stay. It seems I've been forgotten about.

A little update...

Welcome along!

Firstly, although the weather is looking up this week, I'm not sleeping enough and feel like a mess. I got dressed in the dark the other morning, and on the way home, realised I looked like this. Need a haircut too:

lookinggood.jpg

Anyway, I'm not moaning though and I'd rather be doing interesting stuff than not. It's been a busy few days... At the weekend, I popped to Northern Ireland to DJ at a pre St. Patrick's Day type thing and it was very much a load of fun. Here's the lovely people of Strabane:

strbane.jpg

So, got back to London on Sunday night, then was up again for the big early show and had a clear day ahead after that to catch up on a load of boring stuff. I tend to have one day every month or so where I just sort everything out - unpaid bills included. I'm useless at the boring aspects of life. Then got woken up by a big wig saying that Scott was going to be off that afternoon so rushed in to do his show. It's always fun being on in the day and I'd be an idiot to say "no thanks, I'm a bit tired" so I was on again!

Yesterday, I went cage fighting for an upcoming hair brained idea that you'll find out all about shortly...The idea stemmed from me watching the big hit film 'Watchmen'. More on this in the coming weeks. I was badly beaten by some very heavy, sweaty blokes. I ache all over this morning!

I then had pasta, watched James Corden and Matt Horne's new sketch show which does have some very funny moments in it despite it being panned by moany critics. Then bed. Now up again, obviously.

Uncool gadgets...

bluetooth.JPGI saw a man walking around yesterday with a Bluetooth headset on and I decided that this was one of the most uncool gadgets to wear out and about. If you're driving around then it's a very useful piece of kit - but as an accessory, it's not the best.

Here are a few more uncool gadgets that when they first came out were the best thing ever, but now, just a bit naff...

Bumbag - From Steve G on M25 and Tash

A Teasmaid - Ben in Hastings

Remote controls for car stereos - Matt in Oxford

Solar powered garden lights that charge all day then come on really dimly at night - Anon

Hats with fans on - Brian in Essex

UV lights under cars - Danny and Steve from Leicester

People who hang keys on belt loops - Sturge in Leicester

Calculator watches - Lee in Sheffield

The headphones you twist round your ears - Anon

Carrying a laptop under your arm - Anon

Front fog lights when it's not foggy - Phil in Manchester

Laser pens that are used to point at whiteboards that aren't far away - Dave in Birmingham

Rubbish personalised car number plates - From Matt le Truck

Any more??

Terrible photos of Radio 1 DJs...

Greg James|14:37 UK time, Tuesday, 10 March 2009

There's a new website that I've found called 'Yo Busted' which is about to launch and it's all about putting horrible photos of your friends up on there. The only way you can remove the photos is to sign up to the website. Is that kind of blackmail?

Anyway, I thought that I would start my very own gallery of awful photos...of Radio 1 DJs. The only way I'll take them down is if they donate 'stacks of cash' to Comic Relief.

To start with:

Nick Grimshaw on a bike with a basket full of goodies:

And next up, Edith:

Please leave your captions below. I think Aled looks like Eric Morecombe here (who is on his T-Shirt by the way). You can buy your Comic Relief T-Shirts here...

* This is not a competition at all, it's just for fun to make me laugh.

And here ends another week! I've taken delivery of some night vision goggles which will make this weekend fun!

Been stuck in the office doing emails and stuff. Finally done everything and now time to go home. Hope you've had a good week, the show has been busy again this week and much fun. More guff from Monday morning.

Very funny listening to Ricky Gervais on Jo's show just now - I love him and think I might get his DVD Ghost Town to watch on Saturday night. Off to see Kaiser Chiefs tonight at Wembley too.

Have a great weekend!

Good morning! Firstly, I went to see a new band last night at good but smelly little venue in London. They're called Vagabond. They are very good and Gabriella Cilmi was there watching too...Keep a look out for them. This is another fantastic photo from my phone. You only get this sort of quality with me:

vagabond.jpg

Also, I noticed this little article about Twitter - quite interesting.

And finally, I'm off to see the new James Corden and Matt Horne film "Lesbian Vampire Killers" tonight. I will give you the 'low-down' tomorrow morning. In the meantime, have a look at James King's all new box fresh Movies Blog - it's rather good.

Whilst flicking around Saturday night TV - I was amazed to see this. I have not doctored this photo...

OK, maybe it was just me but I was amazed that I'd never noticed his weird hairline! Everyone is a bit grumpy today on the comments aren't they...Cheer up eh? Mind you, I'll let you off, it IS Monday.
