Crash and burn!

Joey and Lauren decide to leave the dizzy heights of Walford, and head off into the sunset together. But they don't get very far at all. Lauren crashes into a shop, and the pair make it out just in the nick of time - thanks to Daddy Derek!

Derek uses a sprinkle of aggression and dash of blackmail to try and get Joey to move in with him. Honestly Derek, do you really think that's going to work!?

B's back!

Bianca returns to Albert Square and is surrounded by her entire brood. Plus two extras she's never met! Joey and Alice introduce themselves to their largerthan life cousin - will they all get along?

Overwhelmed

After putting on a brave face for the family, Bianca finds a quiet place to be alone (which is pretty hard in that household!). Is she going to be able to cope with life outside of prison?

One thing's for sure, Joey has managed to cause quite a stir amongst the Walford ladies in his short time on The Square - and it all comes to a head when Lucy and Lauren fight over him in The Vic. Lucy demands that Lauren makes a choice; her friends or Joey... we doubt Lauren will find that a hard choice to make!

Running away

Joey and Lauren steal Derek's car and speed off, planning their new lives together... surely nothing can stop them being togther now?

Losing control

... or maybe we spoke too soon! Old habits die hard for Lauren as she gets behind the wheel despite having had a few too many drinks. She loses control of the car and her and Joey crash into a shop front!

Fed up of his dad's controlling ways, Joey decides to play Derek at his own game. Whilst the launch is underway there is a sudden crash in the locker room before Joey staggers out with blood pouring from his nose. Max, Jack, Lauren and Alice look on with disbelief at Derek, who insists that he didn't do anything... but no one believes him!

The New Year will start on a sombre note (for some) with the funeral of Walford hard man Derek Branning after a Christmas of explosive storylines.

Since arriving on The Square, Derek has established himself as quite an intimidating figure. Most notable of his dastardy deeds were: stealing from Lucy Beale, running both David Wicks and Anthony Moon off the Square, revealing the truth behind Dennis Rickman's murder to his young son, Denny, and generally making his family's lives a nightmare.

How will the Walford villain meet his maker? Who will be grieving and who will be rejoicing in his untimely death? You'll have to keep watching to find out!

After being tricked into meeting at the Argee Bahjee, Syed and Christian are forced to talk things through... will this rollercoaster of a relationship finally get a happy ending?

Things are pretty awkward as Derek is reunited with his past love, Jackie Bosch... Are some things best left in the past?

After opening up to Patrick about giving her daughter Ava away, Cora contemplates the years of pain and guilt she has suffered as a consequence.

Alexa and her gang return to the Square... evidentally they didn't cause enough trouble on their last visit! Billy tries to have a heart-to-heart with Alexa, but will this tough cookie give him short shrift?

Fatboy spruces up

Unlucky in love Fatboy gets some dating advice and an image overhaul from Poppy... will his new and sophisticated look prove a hit with the ladies?

Phil puts a ring on Sharon's wedding finger. He's convinced it's the only way to make their fake relationship appear to be real in the eyes of social services. Will Sharon feel comfortable wearing it? And what will Jack think?
