The Olympics on BBC Three

It's an exciting time here at BBC Three right now. That's because we're now broadcasting 24 hours a day every day during the Olympic Games!

To get us in the sporting mood, we caught up with our Olympics presenters Sonali Shah and Rishi Persad ahead of the Games to find out their Gold medal predictions for the next two weeks...

Sonali says...

Britain hosting an Olympic Games is once-in-a-lifetime stuff. If that isn't enough to get you excited, then you're a tough nut to crack. But I'll keep on chipping away. Just think about it for a moment - more than 10,000 athletes from over 200 countries are about to go into battle on British soil, having sacrificed and sweated so much to become Olympians.

The athletes I've got a close eye on tend to be those I've spent some time with. I'd love to see Shanaze Reade win a BMX gold after seeing her crash out in the final in Beijing. I've also got my fingers crossed for top sailor Ben Ainslie to win a 4th straight Olympic gold. And I think we all want to see Tom Daley win a diving medal.

The sport I'm most excited about watching is triathlon. You don't need a ticket for most of the Olympic course, so it's a great chance for those who won't get to see any other sport in person to be part of the Games. Britain has never won an Olympic triathlon medal, but Team GB goes into a home Games with both of the sport's world champions in Helen Jenkins and Alistair Brownlee. I'd certainly bet on a triathlete adding to Britain's gold medal tally.

Rishi says...

When I think back to the day in 2005 that Jacques Rogge announced London would host the Olympics I realise how much life has changed. Most significantly my dad was very excited for me that there may have been an opportunity to work at the Games. Sadly he passed away two years ago and I'll miss his unique assessment of my performance during the next couple of weeks.

But that's enough reflection. We should really be looking ahead to what's coming. I've picked out a couple of events and athletes I'm hoping could be successful for Great Britain. I've steered away from some of the obvious ones such as Mo Farah, Jess Ennis and Mark Cavendish.

On Saturday, the Badminton begins at Wembley Arena and I think there's a chance of a gold medal in the mixed doubles, courtesy of Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier. They got to the final of the World Championships at the same venue in 2011 and are getting better all the time having only joined forces two years ago.

I'll be at Greenwich Park for the final two days of Eventing where Great Britain has selected a powerful team led by world number one William Fox-Pitt and including the Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips and the always smiling 51-year-old Mary King appearing at her sixth Olympics.

Their preparation is almost complete, mine is still continuing. There's lots of information I need to install into my tiny brain and there are lots of other little bits and pieces to do, such as sort out my clothes and I definitely need a haircut. I'll hopefully be able to chat to some of you during the Games (using the hashtag #bbcthree2012) and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we want you to!

Olympics coverage begins on BBC Three from Saturday 28 July at 8.30am. Never miss a moment of London 2012 with BBC Sport's interactive video player, where you can watch up to 24 HD live streams.

Attention all budding entrepreneurs!

If you and your friends have got a killer idea, or already have a business but need help to make it grow, AND you’re up for the challenge, then read on...

Richard Reed, the co-founder of Innocent Smoothies, is fronting a new series for BBC Three.

He has £1million at his disposal, and is looking to nurture and invest in the next wave of young entrepreneurs.

In his early 20s, Richard and two friends had a business idea that no one believed in.

Eventually one man took a chance on them and their company was born, turning Richard and his mates into millionaires.

Now Richard wants to do the same for a new generation of start-up superstars.

Click here to apply for Be Your Own Boss

STAGE ONE: SHOW ME THE MONEY

How much money can you make out of £100?

If you’ve got natural entrepreneurial talent, this is one way to test it.

The 500 most promising applications will each get £100. As long as it’s legal and ethical, Richard doesn’t care what you do with the money. He just wants to see that you can make that money grow.

You’ll need to film what you do with the £100 on your mobile phone or handicam.

And once you’ve done that, you and your mates or business partners will be invited to an ‘expo’ to show him what you did with the £100. It’s also your big chance to pitch your business idea to Richard or one of his people. This is your opportunity to demonstrate why you deserve to go through to stage two.

At stage two there are only 18 places.

Will you bag one of them?

STAGE TWO: YOU’RE FUNDED

There’s more at stake in stage two; between £1,000 and £5,000 of Seed Capital for each of 18 groups.

If you’re lucky enough to be one of the 18, you’ll have around 6 weeks to put Richard’s money into action to develop your idea or progress your business.

In this time you’ll be tested on some of the other skills you’ll need to be your own boss, to help Richard decide which of the 18 make it through to the third and final stage.

STAGE THREE: LET’S DO BUSINESS

It’s the final stage. Now things get really serious and so does the money.

If Richard likes what he sees, he could offer life-changing investment in your venture.

Business isn’t for the faint hearted and neither is Richard. You’ve got to live and breathe your idea and be 100% committed to making it a success.

If this sounds like you, then apply now!

Strictly Soulmates: What happened next...

Did you catch Strictly Soulmates tonight? The show follows people of different faiths looking for their perfect partner - you can catch up on iPlayer if you missed it.

Tonight's episode saw Katy, an evangelical Christian, searching for love and meeting Jake, a fellow Christian who lived in California. By the end of the episode, they'd made their relationship official on Facebook and Katy was planning to visit Jake in America.

But the question we were all asking ourselves was, "What happened next?" Did Katy go over to America after the cameras stopped rolling? Are she and Jake still together? We caught up with Katy yesterday... in California!

Katy says...

It's the 24th January and I'm sat in Jake's house watching TV. After finishing filming Strictly Soulmates I decided to come and visit Jake here in California so that we could get to know each other better.

I've been here almost a month now and we've had tons of fun visiting Disneyland and the Grand Canyon, and I've got to meet all of his family and friends.

Unfortunately the relationship didn't work out quite like Jake and I expected, but we've managed to stay really good friends. It's been good to get to know him better without cameras and microphones and just us anyway. Jake had to fly back to California from England a week after we met so we didn't really get a chance to get to know each other properly during the filming.

So now I'm getting ready to head back to England in a couple of days. I'm excited to get back to my youth work and see my family! I'll be sad to leave Jake and his family though; they have been really good to me here. But I'm sure we'll all keep in touch, and Jake will always be welcome to visit me in Manchester anytime!

Awww, the course of love doesn't always runs smooth! We'd love to hear what you thought of Strictly Soulmates, so leave us your comments below.

Strictly Soulmates continues every Thursday at 9pm.

Sex Season

How long on average do we spend on foreplay? How many of us have taken our sex lives online? And exactly why is losing our virginity such a big deal?

Here at BBC Three, we're kicking off the New Year with the Sex Season. Over the next couple of weeks we aim to answer all these questions and more by delving deeper into the sex lives of the British public.

There'll be a range of topics and viewpoints on the complexities of sex and sexuality from the scientist and the historian to the virgin, the lap dancer and the comedian.

Here are our highlights from the first week...

How Sex Works
This three-part series follows the three ages of sex - the first time, playing the field and sex in a long-term relationship. Intertwining real life stories from couples and singletons with some impressive CGI, the show reveals what happens before, during and after sex.
