Match Report
Pakistan v Leicestershire
Date:14/06/03 Pakistan v Scotland
Venue:Grace Road

Despite the plethora of new faces in the Pakistani squad, it was left to the old experienced hands - captain Rashid Latif and Younis Khan - to see the Pakistanis home.

Pakistan started badly, conceded too many extras for comforts as Shoaib Akhtar and Shabbir Ahmed struggled to find line and length. The tide of Leicestershire runs was stopped by the introduction on Abdul Razzak and Mohammed Hafeez, and they did well to restrict the county to 231 for 7.

Pakistan's run chase started brightly with Imran Nazir is good form, but once he fell for 30, Leicestershire clawed back their free scoring. Rookies Hafeez 54 and Yasir Hameed 48 did well, but Youhanna failed again with the bat.

Leicestershire 231 for 7 (50 overs), Pakistan 232 for 5 - win by 5 wickets.
