Rita is getting ready to go to college and she talks to Pradeep about how she's enjoying the interpreting course. Pradeep is half asleep and struggles to share her enthusiasm, worn out by working at Saffron Ray's and Chunky's. Then Krishan bursts in wanting to interview his dad for his diary, but Rita kicks him out! Roopa kicks him out her room too so he dashes downstairs to find Jas, who's taking them to school. Jas and Roopa talk about their mum's enthusiasm for college and they both agree she's going overboard.
The three of them walk to the bus stop. They bump into Nadia who asks Jas about Imran. Jas tells her they've kissed a couple of times but that she's not sure Imran wants to take things further. Nadia thinks he's probably just being cautious - after all there's a big age difference, not to mention the religious thing. Krishan sees his friend Matty and confides in him his plan to bribe his brother and sister with the conversations he's recorded on his tape machine.
Mushtaq calls Imran from Pakistan to say he's going to be held up there a while longer and asks him to take a message to do with the business. Later, Imran goes to see Jas at the newspaper office and apologises for upsetting her - but he tells her she can be childish sometimes!
In the afternoon, Gary and Saj go into Chunky's. They make fun of Pradeep and then order some food...which they throw round the shop rather than eating it!
