A delegation from Gwynedd is visiting to Ireland to strengthen commercial links between crafts businesses. Glynllifon country park near Caernarfon is already twinned with the Victorian gardens Woodstock in Kilkenny.
This latest visit by Gwynedd council aims to strengthen craft community links in particular.
"We hope crafts people from Gwynedd will eventually be able to sell their work in Ireland," said Glynllifon Park warden Gwynedd Roberts.
Over the weekend the 15th Gwyl y Glyn steam and rural crafts festival was held at Glynllifon near Caernarfon.

It featured attractions ranging from vintage cars and live entertainment to the Gwynedd Axemen.
There was also an opportunity to see some of the crafts people who are based in the courtyard workshops at the park.
Woodstock in Kilkenny also hosts similar events throughout the season.
"We are going to concentrate more on the community side of things this time," said Gwynedd Roberts, the warden at Glynllifon.
"In the end we hope that we can develop our relationship in a way which will allow crafts people from Wales to sell their goods in Ireland."
