 Super Furry Animals are starting a US tour |
The Super Furry Animals will headline the opening night of Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau (Dolgellau's Big Session), it has been confirmed. The festival, which is in its 13th year, is held in the Gwynedd town over two days in July.
The Super Furry Animals will perform on Friday, 15 July, before they leave to start a tour of the USA.
Other acts at Sesiwn Fawr will include Dominican reggae artist Nasio Fontaine and Welsh language singer Elin Fflur.
Last year, the Super Furry Animals, whose albums include Fuzzy Logic and Rings Around the World, played at the Brecon Jazz festival.
However, they had to move from the gig from a marquee to the town hall following objections from people living nearby.
Karine Polwark, a recent winner of the Radio Two Folk Album of The Year Award, and Moziak are among the other acts who will also be performing at Dolgellau.
Other Welsh language artists in the line-up include Hugh Chiswell, Frizbee and Sibrydion.
